Rain likely, mainly before midnight. Patchy fog before midnight. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 34. North northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Friday
A slight chance of rain and snow before noon, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 42. North northeast wind between 8 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Fcst problem is rainfall and temps the next few days. Models handling the current wave of pcpn well with main axis of pcpn over the cntrl/srn red river valley this evening before more of a drizzly pattern overnight. Could be some dense fog once again overnight but north winds nr 10 kts may help prevent extremely low vsbys. Qpf amts 18z today to 06z tonight in the 0.25 to 0.50 range south to one tenth north. Another wave is forecast to round the upper low over iowa and affect cntrl into far se nd/ern sd fri midday-aftn. So did increase pops far south for this. Temps next 24 hrs should not change too much...lowering a few degrees tonight but still above freezing all but far northwestern fcst area. Will maintain ra/sn mix west of valley ...
